Description

Composition Symphoral

Indications Symphoral
Symphoral 10 mg belongs to a class of drugs known as antihistamines. Antihistamines help reduce allergy symptoms preventing the effects of a substance called histamine, which is produced in our body. Symphoral 10 mg relieves symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (eg hay fever) such as sneezing, runny nose or itchy nose heavy, tingling or itching eye. Symphoral 10 mg can also be used to reduce symptoms of urticaria (itching, redness, and the number and size of the skin rash appears). Relief of these events is maintained for the full day and will help you resume normal daily activities and sleep normally.

Contraindications Symphoral 
Do not take Symphoral 10 mg, if you are allergic to loratadine or any of the other components of Symphoral 10 mg tablets.

Directions Symphoral 
Always take Symphoral 10 mg exactly as your doctor has told you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure. Adults and children aged 12 years and over: Take one tablet Symphoral 10 mg once daily with a glass of water, with or without food. Children aged 6-12 years and weighing over 30 kg: one tablet Symphoral 10 mg once daily with a glass of water, with or without food. Children aged 6 to 12 years and less than 30 kg: half Symphoral 10 mg tablet once daily with a glass of water, with or without food. In children aged 2-6 years is recommended other age-appropriate formulations (eg, syrup). Symphoral 10 mg is not recommended for children under 2 years. Patients with severe liver disease: For adults and children aged 6-12 years and weighing over 30 kg: one tablet every other day with a glass of water, with or without food. For children aged 6 to 12 years and less than 30 kg: half a tablet every other day with a glass of water, with or without food. Elderly patients or those with impaired renal function do not require dose reduction.

If you take take Symphoral 10 mg more than you should 
Take just as your Symphoral 10 mg prescription says. However, if you took a dose of 10 mg Symphoral higher than indicated, you immediately contact your doctor or pharmacist.

If you miss Symphoral 10 mg 
If you forget to take the medicine on time, you can do as soon as possible and then return to regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose for a forgotten dose. If you have any further questions regarding this product, ask your doctor or pharmacist

Possible side effects from Symphoral
Like all medicines, Symphoral 10 mg can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. The most common side effects noted in children between 2 and 12 years are headache, nervousness and fatigue. The most common side effects noted in adults and adolescents consist of drowsiness, headache, increased appetite and trouble sleeping (insomnia). During postmarketing reports of loratadine have been rare cases of severe allergic reactions, drowsiness, dizziness, palpitations, nausea, dry mouth, indigestion, liver problems, hair loss, skin rash or fatigue. If any of the side effects gets serious, or if you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions when taking Symphoral 
Take special care with 10 mg Symphoral Before using Symphoral 10 mg, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have liver disease.

Interactions There are no known interactions with other drugs Symphoral 10 mg. Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including those bought without a prescription.

Using Symphoral 10 mg with food and drink
Symphoral 10 mg may be administered with meals or between meals. If taken with alcohol, Symphoral 10 mg does not increase its effects.

Special warnings 
At the recommended dose, 10 mg Symphoral will probably lead to drowsiness or loss of reaction speed. However, very rarely some people may experience drowsiness, which could affect ability to drive or operate machinery.

Important information about some of the Symphoral 10 mg 
Symphoral 10 mg tablets contain lactose and tell your doctor if you have an intolerance to some sugars before taking this medicine. If you are scheduled to make any skin test for allergies, do not take Symphoral 10 mg two days before the tests, because the drug could influence the test results.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding 
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding is not recommended Symphoral 10 mg administration.

Storage 
Keep out of reach and sight of children. Do not use Symphoral 10 mg after the expiry date printed on the blister and carton after EXP. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
